On Wednesday, November, U.S. benchmark crude oil delivery gained $3.65 to $82.15. The price of a barrel of Brent crude oil due in November jumped $3.05 to $89.32.
Gasoline at the wholesale level increased by 9 cents to $2.58 a gallon in October. The price of a gallon of heating oil in October increased by 19 cents, reaching $3.45. Gas prices in October increased by 22 cents, reaching $6.87 per 1,000 cubic feet.
The price of gold for December delivery increased by $33.80 to $1,670 per ounce. The price of silver for December delivery increased by 54 cents to $18.88 an ounce, while the price of copper increased by 8 cents to $3.36 a pound.
From 144.76 yen, the dollar dropped to 143.96 yen against the Japanese currency. After starting the day at 95.97 cents, the euro climbed to 97.43.
